WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO:

This community is an UNBIASED resource for patients to find and share information and testimonials about FDA approved, nonsurgical/thermal ablation procedures for the treatment of thyroid cysts, nodules, cancers, and metastatic lymph nodes.These procedures currently include:

• Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA)
• Percutaneous Ethanol Ablation (PEI or ETOH)
• Laser ablation (PLA or LA)
• Microwave Ablation (MWA)
• Cryoablation
• Thyroid Arterial Embolization (TAE)
  

These procedures are not appropriate in all patients with the aforementioned conditions, but can be a safe and effective alternative to surgery in appropriate patients.

These procedures, some of which have been available for 2 decades in South Korea and Italy, are still not widely known about in the general public and medical community; physician providers and patient testimonials can be difficult to find. Our community exists to educate patients who wish to educate and advocate for themselves to potentially save their thyroid.

If you have undergone one of these procedures, please consider joining our community and sharing your experience. Your testimonial is vitally important to providing help and hope to patients who feel overwhelmed and alone on their treatment journey!

GENERAL THYROID HEALTH: The scope of this group is limited to nonsurgical treatment options for thyroid cysts, nodules, cancers, and metastatic lymph nodes. The topic of general thyroid health is too broad our very specialized community.
